
Wine barometer
All wines in the my vineria shop are rated according to typical tasting factors.
Departure:
Short = up to 5 seconds
Average = 6-10 seconds
Long = more than 10 seconds
Body:
light = fresh and slim mouthfeel, alcohol content usually around 12%
Medium = noticeable texture but not heavy, alcohol volume usually between 12 and 13.5%
Full = dense and rich, alcohol volume usually over 13.5%
Tannins:
soft = barely noticeable tannins
Medium = Noticeable but harmonious, slightly furry on the tongue
strong = pronounced grip on the palate, dry and furry
Flavor complexity:
simple = few different fruits, primary aromas
medium = multiple aroma levels, primary and secondary aromas
high = intense aromas, secondary and tertiary aromas
All four categories are rated from 1 (low) to 5 (high). A wine therefore receives a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 20 points, and this is intended to help you better assess the wine.
