Wine barometer

All wines in the my vineria shop are rated according to typical tasting factors.

Departure:

Short = up to 5 seconds

Average = 6-10 seconds

Long = more than 10 seconds

Body:

light = fresh and slim mouthfeel, alcohol content usually around 12%

Medium = noticeable texture but not heavy, alcohol volume usually between 12 and 13.5%

Full = dense and rich, alcohol volume usually over 13.5%

Tannins:

soft = barely noticeable tannins

Medium = Noticeable but harmonious, slightly furry on the tongue

strong = pronounced grip on the palate, dry and furry

Flavor complexity:

simple = few different fruits, primary aromas

medium = multiple aroma levels, primary and secondary aromas

high = intense aromas, secondary and tertiary aromas

All four categories are rated from 1 (low) to 5 (high). A wine therefore receives a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 20 points, and this is intended to help you better assess the wine.
